First World War
The 118th Battalion mobilized on 11 November 1915, from men raised
by the newly created 108th Regiment. The battalion arrived in the
United Kingdom in February 1917, and was disbanded, its personnel
absorbed by the 25th Reserve Battalion, and used to provide
reinforcements to the Canadian Corps in the field.
Second World War
The regiment mobilized "The Scots Fusiliers of Canada" on 5 March
1942. The active service unit served in Canada and was disbanded on
15 October 1943. A 2nd Battalion served in the Reserve Army.

Cap Badge
The cap badge is described in "Regiments and Corps of the Canadian
Army" as:
A thirteen flame grenade with a
maple leaf on the ball of the grenade; superimposed upon the
maple leaf, the Royal Badge of Scotland, i.e., a thistle
surmounted by the Crown.2
