Books

Pages in this category examine and list books written about the Canadian Army.

Primers are books that cover subjects in an introductory manner. They are generally characterized by being inexpensive and small in size. Primers were at one time notoriously unreliable, such as some of the older Osprey Men-at-Arms titles; however this trend seems to have disappeared as smaller titles have gained in popularity and in quality, both in terms of quality of research, and in physical quality.

Biographies include autobiographies (books written about one's self, generally in the first person), biographies (books written about another person, sometimes with that person's assistance, sometimes without permission (unauthorized biographies)), and books covering multiple personalities, such as The Generals.
