13th
Scottish Light Dragoons was a regiment of cavalry
formed in the Canadian Army on 19 Feb 1904 as part of the
Militia.
Lineage

19 Feb 1904: 13th
Scottish Light Dragoons created at Waterloo, PQ, as
an amalgamation of the 79th Shefford and Brome Regiment
and "C" and "D" Squadrons of the 6th Hussars.

15 Dec 1936: Disbanded
during the modernization of the Militia.

Insignia
Helmet Plate
|
A helmet
plate with the cap badge superimposed on a large star with a
wreath of maple leaves. The badge was approved by General
Order 24/1906. The star measured 4-3/8" across at its widest
point.1 |
Cap Badge
|
Cap badges of
the design shown in the infobox above were worn in white
metal. The badges measured 2" across the scroll and 1-5/8"
from the top of the badge to the bottom of the scroll,
measured down the centre of the badge.2

Collar Badges

Left and
right collar badges were identical to the cap badge (were
not mirrored), of the same size, and worn in white metal.3

Metal Shoulder Badges
|
Brass
shoulder badges were worn, measuring 1" across at the
widest point.4 |
